Description
Belgian company 'eSafe' provides mailboxes for offices, apartments, etc. with a metal name tag you need to engrave. This looks really professional, but in apartments people tend to move in and out regularly requiring to change the name tags often. So, it happens that the old name tag stays there for years which is not helpful for delivery services or receiving regular mail.
I designed a replacement part for the metal name tag so you easily switch out the name tag by 3D printing it (Picture 1).
The original version was destroyed by vandals because you could peal off the tag. The new version inserts the tag from above, blocking anyone from pealing off the tag.
The label to put on it is provided as LibreOffice Writer document (unzip it first as Printables does not allow the .ODT extension). You can put any text on it you want and paste it with double-sided tape on the printed name tag.
Once ready, open your mailbox (Picture 2), remove the 2 metal clips by applying pressure on the middle part. Pull down the metal spring of the mailbox to remove the original metal name tag. Place the new name tag inside the space, release the spring, and put the metal clips back.
