Description

This is designed specifically for a Dell Optiplex 7060 MicroPC, though it may be possible that some similar era Dell micros may fit in here too (the model in picture has an i7-8700 for a hint of its age). As you can see, I got a little cute with the front bezel - so it sits nice and flush.

(edit 21-May-25 - Feedback has shown this also works 3050 and 5060 variants of the Dell Optiplex MicroPC. The 7020 has a different front bezel and doesn't sit fully flush at the front - while it will still slot in, that different bezel makes it stick about 3mm out at the back. I don't have a 7020 local to model a different front, but if you don't care about that and just want that deeper mount just shoot me a message, I'm happy to forward you a modified copy.)

This design lets you simply slide the PC in from the back. And thanks to the little rubber feet at each corner, you should find that it will press-fit itself into the bracket with the two front feet and hold itself nice and snug for interaction with the power button and front audio/USB ports without the need for any further securing.

If that isn't the case or you would like a variation of this design, feel free to reach out.

  • Test printed as you see in the pictures with black eSUN PLA+, though PETG is recommended. Especially if your rack runs on the warm side.
  • This will print face-down diagonally on the buildplate of an Ender 3.
  • Recommend <15% infill.
  • Best point for last - zero supports required!

Update 6-Jan-25 - Added an extra file - a quick back clip design I created that clips across the back of the mount, using the two diamond cut outs at the back to main bracket piece. This prints face down and only needs some small supports at the ends for the clip overhangs. You can still access all the ports on the back through the large hole.

Shouldn't be necessary to use this - the stock rubber feet on the base of the case should be enough to retain the computer in just with simple friction alone - but if you do want something extra to secure the mini PC in from the back, there it is. :)

Update 15-Feb-25 - Re-uploaded with an updated design so the total width of the ears is 254mm.

Update 15-Apr-25 - Re-uploaded with an updated design with better spacing on the rackmount holes.
