Description

This is a Mini spotlight housing sculpted to look like concrete brick. This was made specifically for Labyrinth pinball, but could easily be leveraged in several themes. This model is designed to hold an LED from a disassembled Comet pinball Optimax LED.

This model was inspired by the excellent concept by @sorokyls

Print settings: .2mm nozzle recommended to get all the detail and minimize layer lines

  • Layer height: .06-.08
  • Material: PLA for housing, PETG for mount
  • Infill: 100%

Non-printed parts:

  • Comet pinball Optimax LED
  • 3MM x roughly 6mm button head screw
  • Soldering iron, wire, and connectors

Instructions:

  1. Print the Housing in PLA and the mount in PETG – pla is OK but not as strong obv.
  2. Disassemble the Comet LED. The wedge base is the easiest to take apart. This bulb has 3 main pieces: the base, the lens, the heatsink, and the LED module.
    1. Using pliers squeeze the lens where it attaches to the base. Do this a few times and it should start to crack the glue.
    2. Using another set of pliers separate the base from the top heatsink
    3. Remove the LED from the heatsink
  3. Press fit the led into the housing, add some wires and solder to a 5-6v source on your pinball machine!
