Description

Designed this OnStep MAXPCB4w case with aviation plugs (GX12) support. This design is inspired by various cases available on OnStep wiki. The case has a sound funnel for onboard buzzer and an honeycomb grill for ventilation.

The case should support most drivers with heat sinks – I have tested with TMC5160, TMC2130 and LV8729.

Print instructions:

  1. It is recommended to print all the part upside down except the bottom part which could be printed bottom up.

Screw slots:

  1. The panels are designed for M2 x 8mm brass inserts along with M2 x 8mm round headed Phillips screws.
  2. The PCB slots can take M2 x 4mm brass inserts and round headed Phillips screws (M2 x 4mm).
  3. The slots at the base of the case can be used to mount dovetail block. The slots are M4 x 6mm.

Note: it is important that the installed brass inserts are level and flush to ensure good fit. It is recommended to use a hot soldering iron to heat the inserts before installing. Do not force the inserts as that can cause them to be misaligned. The heat should do the job with slight pressure.

*Top and bottom case will need support.
