Description
This is a fairly long shot that anyone is going to need this… The tripod is about 18 years old and no longer sold by 7dayshop.com (but it may have been a cheap import so may be other similar tripods out there). But I needed a second plate for a second camera.
This is a 2 part print. The main part is printed from your preferred hard plastic. The flat seet you need to print in TPU or TPE. This provides a grippy soft surface to grip the camera. These are intended to be printed at 0.2mm layer height, 0.4mm nozzle.
When printed, you will need to remove the sacraficial print covering the screw hole (this is so that no supports are needed).
Once the sacrificial part of print is removed, attach the grip with super glue. Then install the ¼ inch 20 bolt. Similar to these (10 to 12 mm screw should be fine, mine is 10mm)…
