Description
The rubber coating on the knobs of my DrumBrute impact got sticky, these parts are meant to replace them.
The position indicator and the knobs are two separate parts, allowing you to mix and match colors even with a single extruder printer.
There are two types of encoders on the DrumBrute, 3 endless (or incremental) encoders (the 3 white ones), and absolute encoders (the rest).
The endless encoders have a shorter metal shaft, the absolute encoders have a black plastic shaft and are longer.
Print the “indicator” file flat, and the knobs upside down.
I used PLA with a 0.25 nozzle at 0.15 layer height.
When printing the indicators, you may want to adjust the print setting for “Elephant foot” (check your slicer's settings).
For my 0.25 @ 0.15 print, I used 0.1mm elephant foot compensation.
The filament used in the pictures are all Prusament, Galaxy Black, Signal White, Marble Grey, Prusa Orange.
For the absolute encoders, print “not endless knob.stl” and “not endless knob indicator.stl” and simply push the indicator into the slot of the knob.
It should require some force, I pushed the part against a hard surface (like a table) to make sure they fit nicely.
The tolerance is pretty tight (0.1 mm), so YMMV if your printer isn't dimensionally accurate; in which case you can probably scale the indicator up/down in your slicer.
You can also directly edit the model in OnShape.
This was modelled in OnShape, the source files can be found here and here.
