Small Aquarium Planter | Tiered Aquascape

Inspired by my original Aquarium Planter, this small version should fit into most 5 gallon tanks. It has one less tier, but attempts to keep the same feel and space for plants as the large version. It features 3 tiers designed to enhance the feeling of depth in your tank allowing you to layer your plants without worrying about the substrate settling over time.

This design is easy to print in PLA. PLA and ABS are safe to use in aquariums, but with a base this large printing in ABS is difficult without warping. We like the way this looks when printed in wood filled PLA. Wood filled PLA tends to print well with on standard PLA settings with some slight stringing. Some post processing with a heat gun can help clean things up.
