Description
If you have a Fixdry drier which can dry 2 filament spools at the same time, you know potentially the problem: You have to lift the lid and fiddle around with it while you insert two spools of filament wile pulling the two filament strings through 2 openings (roof or wherever). As the drier is usually close to the printer, the space is limited and as a result you will use probably your mouth and 2 hands to get the task done.
So - why did they omit the most obvious feature there is - a proper hinge or handle to take the task of opening and holding the lid?
Both pieces can be printed without any supports. PLA should be fine.
The hinge is long and sturdy enough to allow to be glued via double sided heavy duty tape (2cm wide) to the hinge and the box / lid. If you want to screw it on: I am not entirely sure if it can be screwed in the lower part of the box without breaking things. So I glued.
The handle requires 2x M3 insets and 6mm M3 screws with a washer to get fixed at the front.
After done that: Problem solved.
Happy printing!
