This project requires TPU 98A. I used this one https://amzn.to/4dZz78Y . TPU 95A will be too soft and PLA or PETG will be to stiff and the phone won't go in. I did not design the original case and I learn the hard way by wasting PLA filament.
I would say this is an advance printing project:
- First print the provided platform in PLA. PLA won't stick to TPU. Notice you have the choice of texture for the case. You can print the platform such that the bed texture is impressed on the case, or you can select the other side.
- Then print the case:
- Do not use any supports. I accidentally forgot to add supports and to my pleasant surprise they were not needed.
- Position the case such that the camera hole is on the bed.
- Let the slicer complain about the overhang
- On the slice view, go down to the 2.20 mm height view and add a print pause.
- When the printer gets to the print pause, add the PLA platform. Use magnets to make sure the platform does not move.
- That is it, when the print finishes you are ready for post processing.
Note: The pictures have a broken Pixel 6 on the camera glass. That accident happened when the user had the phone without the case. One could speculate the case would have protected it.
