Description
And after all the time I spent with you,
summer went away
and we just weren't the same
I love Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree's music, so I created a set of 3D printable abstractions to represent his discography.
Unlike my previous beverage coasters, these Porcupine Tree ones are just for display as 2.5D art. It is square like a CD or vinyl album sleeve.
I recreated all of Porcupine Tree's albums in a way that are interesting for 3D printing:
If you like Steven Wilson's work, don't miss my other album covers.
Without input shaper, printing slow to help definition, 20mm/s for example.
Infill at least 15% to hold top layers or text above, but you can play with patterns and higher percentages. I left some open tops to expose the infill some times!
I didn't use brims or rafts, but you can if you experience warping, especially in the square corners. Temporary water-based adhesive is useful too.
I printed the one you see in my photos in several parts. The square background is light grey changing into dark grey. The hand is orange, the “glow” is orange, and the bulb itself beige. All is glued together.
