Decorative Halloween Lightbox for Use with Electric Tealights

No MMU required.

I printed all parts without MMU. Simply switch to the desired filament when the printer prompts you and continue the print.

You should make sure that the head and the lettering are printed in a filament that is as translucent as possible, otherwise, the whole thing won't work.

The side panels should then be glued to the middle part at the two connection points.

I recommend using the sliced files I've provided because the print can be a bit tricky due to the required support.

If you prefer to slice it yourself, you should pay attention to the following:

Side panels: The lettering is hollowed out from the inside so that the light can shine through, so some support is needed during printing. You should manually add a few support pillars and definitely avoid using the auto-support function, as this would be almost impossible to remove (trust me, I speak from experience ;-)

Bottom of the head: To increase adhesion, a raft layer is needed here. Without it, the print slipped off the bed several times for me.

Top of the head: The best results I achieved were when I placed the head on the brim of the hat. This way, the print requires significantly less support, comes out cleaner, and is completed much faster.

This time it's a bit more work, but I think it's definitely worth it.

Kein MKS benötigt.

Ich habe alle Teile ohne MKS gedruckt. Einfach wenn der Drucker das Signal gibt auf das gewünschte Filament wechseln und den Druck fortsetzen. 

Ihr solltet darauf achten dass der Kopf und die Schrift in einem Filament gedruckt werden dass möglichst lichtdurchlässig ist, sonst funktioniert das ganze nicht. 

Die Seitenteile sollten dann an den jeweils 2 Verbindungspunkten mit dem Mittelteil verklebt werden.

Ich empfehle die von mir geslicten Dateien zu verwenden da der Druck sonst aufgrund des benötigten Supports etwas tricky sein kann.

Falls ihr lieber selber slicen wollt solltet ihr auf folgendes achten:

Seitenteile: Die Schrift ist von innen ausgehöhlt damit mann das Licht durchscheinen sieht daher wird beim Druck etwas Support benötigt. Hier solltet ihr einige wenige Supportstützen aufzeichnen und keinesfalls die Auto-Support Funktion nutzen da dieser sonst fast unmöglich zu entfernen ist (könnt ihr mir glauben ich spreche aus Erfahrung ;-)

Unterseite Kopf: Hier wird zur Erhöhung der Haftung eine Raft Schicht benötigt. Ist mir ohne einige Mal vom Druckbett gerutscht.

Oberseite Kopf: Die besten Ergebnisse habe ich hier erzielt wenn ich den Kopf auf die Hutkrempe gestellt habe. Der Druck benötigt hierdurch deutlich weniger Support wird sauberer und geht erheblich schneller.

Ist diesmal bisschen mehr Arbeit aber ich finde es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.
