Description

The model is designed to be printed on a regular FDM 3D printer. It should be printed on the side where the button profile is plane with the body hook. Like so:

I sliced using default Sovol SV06 settings for OrcaSlicer, except:

  • I used 3mm outer and inner brim to avoid bed adhesion issues early on the design process, and I have not tried reducing this.
  • 2 wall loops instead of 3.
  • No infill.
  • Enabled support, might be doable without, its only the "hole-hook" that needs a little bit of support to reduce risk of insufficient clearance between left and right inside the hole.

I'm using the Kensington Slimblade Pro, these models would probably also work with non-pro, but I have no idea.

For right-handed use, I prefer having the left button be taller than the right. Hence two different models uploaded. Mirror as needed.

The model will obscure the back rubber pads of the body, for my use on a cloth mousepad it is plenty stationary, but you might need to add rubber feet to avoid slipping on a smooth surface.

I've uploaded the freecad file, which is currently set to the tall model, and contains earlier prototypes as well. I'm no pro freecad'er, so yeah that is probably a mess, but feel free to do with it what you want.
