Description
The old bushing between the seat and the seat post on my boat wore out and the seat no longer could be tightened to stay in the position I wanted without babbling. So I designed this to replace the teflon bushing that allows the seat to swivel on the mount.
The bushing needs to be printed on its side. In my experience, if you print it vertically - where the print head is making circles, these part easily crack along the layer lines and the bushing stops being effective.
I printed the bushing out of nylon once I got a PLA version that fit well, but did not allow swiveling as well as the nylon.
Photo shows the original nylon bushing and two prototypes printed quickly on end with low infill to get it right before using the more expensive nylon.
