Power switch box for heat gun

allows you to add an external power switch to the generic amazon heat guns

you will need a pc power cable, power switch, and female connector, all can be salvaged from an old pc power supply. or found on amazon

you need to carve down strain relief side of the power cable connector until you see the hard plastic housing under the soft rubber (be carful not to cut the wire)

then just wire up the connectors together switching the live (black) wire or both live and neutral if you have a double pole switch.

install the components in the box plugging the the connector into the heat gun power supply to hold it in position and fill the box with hot glue to insulate and hold everything in place. put the lid on while the glue is still molten to hold it on.
