LED insert for steampunk goggles

This is an insert for welding goggles to allow you to put LEDs in them without blinding yourself. The diffuser ring sits in there to soften the LED lights a bit, and is optional.

Step 1: Print two of the insert in black, and optionally two of the diffuser ring in clear.

Step 2: Wire leds through the holes so they sit in the recess.

Step 3: Buy your bog-standard welding googles

Step 4: Remove tinted lens from welding goggles and replace with LED insert and diffuser ring.

Step 5: Wire it all up. Solder in connections as needed, and clip off excess LED legs. Wires can come out of the vents on the sides of the goggles, and can go to a switch or to an arduino if you're a fancypants.

Step 6 (not shown): Glue some gears on it and call it steampunk.
