Description

Hi!
This is a 4.5 x 2.16 x 1.04 inch (110 x 55 x 26.5 mm), "hedron shard", modeled from Wizards of the Coast's Khans of Tarkir trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIC1M_eKagk), see attached screen capture. The piece itself has a hole for mounting on the top. The body piece has a slot made for a coin cell with attached, easy-to-operate string LED lights (I got mine from Adafruit! http://www.adafruit.com/products/895 or http://tinyurl.com/pfy5hjn if you're impatient about shipping).
The orientation is designed such that you can reach the on/off switch conveniently from the base of the piece. Three slots inside of the body accommodate 2 identical pieces of the side panels, and 1 front piece.

(1) 3D Print out the body (ABS or PLA worked for me)
(2) Print or laser-cut the adjoining panel pieces (I prefer laser cutting here for the fine details, and looked cool with semi-transparent material! ~2mm acrylic from McMaster.com is great)
(3) Add in your lights
(4) Glue/tape stuff into place!
Optional: Add diffusive backing to the panels and base.
