Mad Max 6/71 Blower prop

These .stl files are set up to print a 2/3 scale replica of the 6/71 blower from the Mad Max interceptor. I went with 2/3 scale so it fit the small car I plan on putting this on, but if you are going for full scale, you can just scale the print size to 150% on all the parts. Alternatively, the file 1piece_1-4.stl is all the parts together at quarter scale, which can be printed in one setup with supports.

My plan is to eventually end up with a small 12v motor spinning the pulley, while the 3D printed ABS "belt" is actually stationary over it. A pattern of screws on the front of the pulley will show that it is spinning, and a smudge on the rear of the pulley will help show the whole thing is spinning. The intake manifold is set up with holes where small braided steel line can run up to the rear, and then a loop across the front, and then small wires would be glued into the holes on the side of the "fuel injector blocks" or whatever they're pretending to be. Everything has holes to either be clearance for 1/4-20 screws, or to be ready for a tap to be ran into the hole and produce threads, allowing these parts to bolt together. It ends up leaving a 3x3" cavity along the bottom center, where I plan to have a wooden block that is attached to the car's valve cover (yes, cutting a hole in the hood) and then this blower bolts down to the wood block using screws from the intake scoop pieces, and one screw each from the front and rear covers. I have been using chrome spray-paint to achieve a convincing "aluminum" finish. My goal is for it to look believable from 10 feet away, and I think it will. I will update pictures as I get to that point; right now my printer is undergoing a rebuild with upgrades.

The file blower.stp has been included for people to open the original solid model components and modify as they please.
