Description
Another 80's G.I. Joe toy for the collection. I always liked the way the A.P.C. looked but I didn't have it as a kid - so this isn't a perfect copy. I used pictures and some reasonable guesses to model it. As usual, the model was created in the original size of the toy but this model was optimized to be printed in the 25% range.
The chassis should be printed with supports, the rest of the pieces can be done without. I could have made the chassis, canvas, and turret as one model but they are easier to paint as separate pieces. Tires are printed with the hubcaps 'up' and then glued on.
Update 2019: an improved version where the canvas roof can be removed, allowing access to the rows of seats in back. I did not glue my roof in place. I got the tension just right so the canvas snaps onto the seats, and when you turn it upside down it doesn't fall off.
Much respect and gratitude to the men and women of our Armed Forces (past and present). Your sacrifice allows people like me to live in peace and freedom. /You/ are the real American heroes.
