Description
2016.02.06: Added the short_inductive version. This is designed to fit a 4mm inductive probe close, but not dangerously so, near the extruder. Be sure that you don't run your extruder wires near the sensor or you'll get some consistency issues.
2016.01.14: Uploaded the short version. Same extruder, same gears but I have reduced the filament path as much as possible so when the filament leaves the hobbed bolt, it travels 23mm before it hits your extruder. Any shorter and I'll have to redesign the guideler.
2016.01.13: Updated the latest version. I had uploaded the wrong rev which had the filament slot too small and not enough room for the guidler bearing. Sorry about that.
NOTE: Filament tolerances are TIGHT on this extruder. If you are using cheap 1.75mm filament that is out of spec it might jam up. The tradeoff though is that flexible filament is a breeze.
This is a geared wades extruder for 1.75mm filament that is designed to bolt directly to a piece of openbuilds 20mm v-slot extrusion. This started as a remix of the wades ultimate extruder, but I suck at OpenSCAD so I rebuilt the entire thing in 123d design (123d files attached) and went ham from there. You'll need some 25mm hex head screws and tnuts to mount this to your extrusion, hotends mount directly but I went ahead and left the jhead slot plate holes in case anyone needs that for accessories.
This is for a custom printer I'm building from all openbuilds materials, ignore the busted hexagon hotend. It's just there for fitting.
