Description

DotBot is an educational robot whereby you can create robots with Arduino, and all kinds of Raspberry Pi including PiZero.
This robotic platform allows the students not only to learn robot programming, but also to modify easily the chassis and create new custom parts.
Since it is an open source platform the robot can be freely modified, copied, and shared across the Internet. In addition, it is extremely cheap, in fact the cost almost exclusively determined by the cost of DC Motors, electronics and sensors.
It has been designed to attach other components such as servos, DC Motors, LEDs, push buttons, buzzer, and other sensors.

This work has been created by two professors:

Michele Maffucci - IIS Galilei Ferrari - Torino - Italy
Ludovico Russo - Researcher - Politecnico di Torino - Italy

Hardware:

2 x chassis
1 x battery holder
2 x Ball Caster (remixed: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1367222)
1 x breadboard holder

13 X joints 25 mm x 3mm
30 x screw M3x10 (or M3x5)
4 x screw M3x30
10 x nut M3
2 x glass marbles di vetro (diameter 16 mm)

Build Instructions:
The robot assembly is easy. More detailed instructions can be found on this link: http://www.maffucci.it

Even though the instructions are written in Italian, there are a lot of pictures (I will translate them into English soon)

Software:
See the link on GitHub: https://github.com/dotbot-io

Example codes on Arduino are under construction.
