Exo-Suit (Part 1: Arms and Shoulders)

I've had the idea of making an Exo-Suit for many years, only recently with the help of 3D printing was I able to do something with it. I created this suit to be mobile and not too bulky. It has many attachment points for add-ons such as armor. I will be, in the future, adding to this to make a full body exoskeleton.

I wanted to make a video to show how well it moves but I am currently recovering from neck surgery.

Everything was printed on a Simple Metal 6x6x6 printer which created a lot of engineering challenges. I overcame these by making it modular, which in turn helped with the design process, if I made a change I did not have to reprint a large section.

All the bearing used are based off my EZ-BB bearing, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1476521 .(I used around 500 BBs) and rest of the parts are held together with pins. I personally don't like the idea of using glue and screws.

Please read all the information attached to this thing, It is complex,will use over 2kg of PLA and take several days to print.

For rafts and supports I used as few as possible but they were needed on some parts. This will depend on your printer and what it can do. I found anything with a tab needed supports that touched the build-plate and parts with slots, without any supports, these parts needed a little clean-up to fit properly. Excessive force should not be needed to assemble any parts.

Most of the files will only need to be printed once per arm except the arm struts and Elbow bearing, you will need to print each of these two times.
