Description

this is a upgraded electronics box for the m2. the lid can be screwed down so it wont pop up and come undone like the factory one. this also contains a lock on the back side which holds in the power connectors so they do not come loose or fall out. 90% of the factory hardware is used on this. the lid can be screwed down with a #8 sheet metal screw on each corner or on the inside there is a slot sized for an m3 hex nut so you can use machine screws. this box has slightly more room inside as well. all pieces print really well in abs. the main box you may need to print with a raft or tabs added to corners.

support: you should only need support under the fan on the lid, the connector lock and on the main box only in the square openings. the oval vent holes print really well without any.

update: i added a button for the emergency reset. i also added an optional spacer for the fan. i replaced my fan with a higher performance ball bearing fan. the stock fan kept going bad on me. the fan was silent outside the box but makes a noisy whine when mounted up into the lid. if you have this issue print the spacer and put it between the fan and lid. it will quiet the fan a little. stock makergear fan doesnt seem to have this problem.
