Modular Smartphone, Inspired by Phonebloks and Thought One Step Ahead

I thought about the problems, the Phonebloks approach has and developed a own modular smartphone design.

The problems I see with the Phonebloks are:

• The gaps between the modules are opened to the environment so that dirt and fluids can find a way to the contacts.
• The design follows the funtionality, so it's not that easy to convince a manufacturer to produce phones (cases) for this plattform.

In my design idea the main focus was on the technical side. I thought about how this could work on the electronics layer. It also was very important for me, to allow design variations of the case without changing the modules and that the modules are encased and not exposed to the environment.
