UPDATE: I just purchased the Bespin Gambit expansion for Imperial Assault, and for some reason the bases of the minis are all too big for the pronged stands. Usually only about 1 in 7 IA minis will be slightly too large for the pronged version, but it seems either I got a really bad batch or they've changed the mold slightly for these.

I've recently gotten into Star Wars Imperial Assault by Fantasy Flight. All the miniatures come unpainted and it's a blast bringing them to life. They're small, though, and sometimes difficult to hold just the way you want to while painting for a while. I designed this as an alternative to using a bottle cap or cork that I've seen others use.

There are two versions of the grip and two versions of two different styles of stands to hold your minis while they dry.

The grip with the prongs was designed specifically for the (roughly) 24mm bases of Imperial Assault minis, and should work just fine for other types of minis with the same size. But, since all miniatures are not created equal, I also made one with no prongs. That one is also great for the larger based figures as well. I may design one with prongs for those but have not gotten around to it quite yet.

There are two types of bases, a single or a triple. With Imperial Assault, I often paint a whole squad at once, doing the same colors on each one before moving on. Some may prefer to paint one figure at a time. Since it's a Star Wars game, there's also a version of each stand with the Rebel, Imperial, Mandalorian, and Star Wars logos on it for a little added depth. For those who plan on using them for other things or like a basic look, there are blank versions as well.
