Description

I put this thing up when I first developed NinjaFlex. I have since left NinjaTek to start Diabase Engineering with a colleague. The Flexion Extruder is our debut product. It can print flexible materials much faster than this design (and much softer materials too).
You can find it here. Flexion Extruder

Over the last couple of weeks, I've had a few people contact me about jamming difficulties with flexible filaments. By far, the most critical feature for printing flexible materials is having the filament completely supported between exiting the drive gear (nip) and entering the cold end. This design is just a slight modification of the work done by whpthomas, emmett, whosawhatsis and others. I've just added a small amount of material to prevent the filament from folding under the hobbed portion of the drive gear. It doesn't seem like this would make that much of a difference, but it does...it has allowed me to print materials that my standard Makerbot Mk8 upgrade would not.

Edit1: I just added a couple of files for the Arm and Pin that might get you there for the Rep2. I'm kind of flying blind on that design though, b/c at the moment, I only have a Rep1 to work from.

Also...I used the following parts from McMaster-Carr:
3mmx10mm Bearing McM P#: 7804K128
M3x8mm FHCS - McM P#: 92125A128
M3x10mm FHCS - McM P#: 92125A130
For this design, you do have to tap the hole for the M3 screw used as the bearing shaft.
