Description
Looked around at a bunch of 3d printed shift knobs. Some were simple some were complex. It seemed they lacked mass. The downside of 3dprinting a shift knob is at the end of the day its just a hunk of plastic. My 2002 Mazda Miata has a decent shift knob so as an exercise I measured that up. Here it is! Its a 3 part shift knob that includes a cavity for placing weights. My first thought was to use lead solder and wrap the inside cavity. I have since decided using bird shot would be a quicker solution(look for an update). Shift pattern up top did not print the way I wanted so I will probably be adding additional tops (6spd, 4spd, no spd....). Mine press fit together just fine I would add some glue to make it more permanent. Hole in knob is 10mm non threaded.
