Landing Gear for SK450 Quadcopter Frame (Standard, Long, and Longer)

This set of 3D models are a direct fit for the original landing gear that come with the SK450 from Hobbyking (or elsewhere). They use the same mounting system as the originals, so they require the use of the two screws that already hold in the stock landing gear.

Included are 55mm, 116mm, and 163mm landing gear heights to fit all your needs and all your printers! The 55mm ones are the smallest, and are roughly the same size as the stock landing gear. 116mm is what I use, and what I photographed. 163mm is just a bit longer, and I think this may allow room for larger gear such as a camera (DSLR?) to be mounted under the frame.

Also, as a little note, the longer legs may put more strain on your frame's arms if you come down too hard! The main frame would have move room to flex downwards in the event of a hard landing, and this could damage the main arms of the craft or even snap them off! I may design secondary gear for around the central hub later in order to fix this potential problem. The last photo is what happened when I landed hard, and it looks like the landing gear broke, which is great! I'll just print another one. Also, I had a sideways crash and the arms did break, so maybe a breakaway design would be nice so the frame could be saved at the expense of the replaceable landing gear.

Print in your favorite color! I chose red because it looks mean, and it'll make people think twice before messing with my quadcopter!
