Description
I can't say enough good things about Brendan's T4 Quadcopter design. It's an attractive, rugged 3-D printed quad frame that always attracts attention at the flying field.
I have seen a number of questions on Brendan's comments page about "what motor to use", so thought I would share what works for me. I have found that the T-Motor Air Gear 350 kit is almost a perfect match for this quad frame: http://www.rctigermotor.com/html/2014/Combo_pack_0930/279.html. This motor is sold as a "combo pack" complete with 920 kV motors, 9545 self-tightening props, and 20A ESCs, and retails for about $130. I use it with a 4S battery.
I have made a few small tweaks to Brendan's arm design, modified to accomodate the ESCs in the Air Gear 350 kit. This modification is similar to several other remixes for the arm.
