Description
I could not find any breadboards with safety plugs on the market - only the ones with old fashioned non-safety 4 mm banana plugs and often connectors of a poor quality. So I designed my own instead.
This item was made on a laser cutter with 4 mm plywood. The layers were stacked together and glued with normal wood glue between each layer. The holes for the small cables going from the plugs to the breadboard were drilled with a 3 mm drill.
It is designed for two 830 tie point breadboards with four 4 mm banana safety plugs, spaced the standard 19 mm apart. I have used "crystal breadboards" from Ali Express, as the quality in my experience is a bit better as the normal white breadboards.
The holes for the safety plugs are made for MultiContact XUB-G 1 ST plugs ( https://www.conrad.de/de/laborbuchse-buchse-einbau-vertikal-stift-4-mm-rot-multicontact-xub-g-1-st-735540.html ). The board is made for three different voltages with common ground.
