Changed: All stl files can be downloaded separately.
This is the preview edition and it's intended audience is for experienced builders only not general usage yet. This crossbow while it can be highly powerful. It is designed for backyard fun only. Ex, shooting empty cans in the back yard.
This crossbow is highly experimental. It is still a work in progress and any part could change at any time as I fix issues or add features. The crossbow is functional and has been successfully fired with a 50lbs draw weight. Expect future improvements to the design. Please do not expect an easy build progress in this release. Some of the parts may need to be filed down to fit together.
TALC stands for Tactical Printable Compact Crossbow.
It is a slingshot crossbow inspired by the designs of JoergSprave from The SlingShot Channel. It uses flat thera-band resistance bands instead of a bow. The intention is to double or triple up thin sections of theraband and attach them to both sides of the crossbow. In this way you can increase the power of your draw.
The crossbow is 25 inches long. Each part is design to be printed on a small 3d printer bed in modules. I have successfully printed this on a Prusa I3 with an 8x8 heated bed.
