Description
New York City - Constructed using 1 arcsecond resolution SRTM data from the Space Shuttle (about 2.6 million facets). I know it's a big file. You see the effects of the RADAR signal scattering off of buildings but it's interesting to see what the region looks like. Less dramatic than a big mountain range I would think this would look pretty nice painted. It was made using a new and, as yet, unreleased version of SRTM2STL. The source code for creating files at 3 arcsecond resolution is available up on github under the GNU license. Go to github and search for SRTM2STL.
