This is a cut plug herring miter. Used to cut angles on herring plugs so that they spin in the water. when using for salmon fishing
We fish the Columbia river Chinook Salmon a lot and this hearing miter makes a quick job on getting the right cut for the perfect spin on that herring plug. One side cuts an angle for a slower wider spin, while the other makes a tighter faster spin.
