Description
I've noticed that sample filament tends to come packaged in one of two sizes -- small / tight coils, and considerably larger coils. This presents a problem for me, since my printer (a Kodama Trinus) has a fairly small build volume -- so I can't directly print a spool large enough for the small coils, much less the larger ones.
So I came up with this design, centered on a hub just small enough to print on my Trinus, and with filament-holding "forks" of various lengths. Use a bit of "super glue," and a few minutes' drying time later you've got a customized spool.
Spool w/ short forks -- holds filament on a 12 cm / 4-3/4" diameter
Spool w/ long forks -- holds filament on a 15 cm / 6" diameter
