Description
🇪🇺 I've decided to move my 3D models to a different website. The files for this Thing can be downloaded here: https://www.printables.com/model/1233330 🇪🇺
I've had some problems with ripples in my prints or even missed steps. After some investigation and experimentation I found out that the reason seems to be the sturdiness of the y-axis linear bearing holders - or rather the lack of such. Because the holders are just held by one screw each, they can be slightly tilted, not holding the bearings in an exact straight line. This causes them to block movement and makes the printing bed jerk around (just a little, but that's enough to cause some trouble) instead of sliding nicely. (This was accompanied by a rattling sound. If you have similar problems, maybe you've heard that.)
The quick and cheap solution I found, was to just design and print new linear bearing holders for the y-axis. You can download the model here - maybe it'll help you.

Update (15.03.17): There was a problem with the size of the model in the .stl file. I reuploaded a fixed version.
