Description
I have an office in one of our bedrooms and the closet is under-used. So I am planning on making a bunch of different custom hangers in order to keep headphones, fly-swatter, back-scratcher and other things hanging at eye level. Any other ideas? Also I was planning to attach the hook to the various bases with glue and/or some tiny screw (just running them in the gap between the pieces to prevent slippage). The headphone base might also work for smaller filament spools.
Note: I designed the hook so that bases could be printed vertically without any supports, since the flared parts are 45 degrees.
2020-07, I added a base for 10 wider hooks (decipede), and tapered the hook for easier starting. I also added a thin single inward hook and a double hook that can both be printed in a single pass. I included the freecad file in case anyone wants to mess around or adjust anything.
I really wouldn't use the headphone thing. Try the "dopplehanger" instead, which have hooks on two sides of a central bar: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4106614 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4108531
