This is a DB9-DB9 Connector Converter case.
In order to build your connector converter you also need the following parts:
- two DB9 simple connectors (as in the photos); Depending on what kind of converter you need, you can use male-male, female-female or male-female DB9 connectors.
- internal connection wires;
I myself soldered two rows of 2.5 dupont pins on one connector, and on the other connector I soldered connection wires having female dupont headers on one end. In this way you can build a DB9 converter with fully customizable pinout (you can easily switch between crossover or straight-through connections, for instance)
The converter case has 3 parts that need to be printed:
- the converter case
- the case lid
- a small fastening clamp - to keep the lid and the case together
PS. 29/07/2019 I uploaded an improved version of the lid (v3) which is supposed to fit better.
