Description

The fastest way to fasten/unfasten a lace-up shoe.

Inspired by Magnetic Shoelaces by adafruit.

You need 3 neodimium magnets of 12 mm in diameter and 5 mm in height for each piece (12 for the complete set). In the EU you can purchase at Supermagnete.

On each piece, insert the magnets with the same pole up and in the opposite with the same pole down. To facilitate the operation, mark the faces of the magnets with a marker. Once the pieces are printed, insert the magnets into the holes and glue the lids with acetone or PVC cement (if it is ABS). The 3-hole / 2-piece magnets has been obtained by cutting the original piece with Netfabb at 24 and 40 mm on the Y-axis, discarding the center and joining the ends. With this method you can make pieces of any number of holes (from 2).

Inspirado en Magnetic Shoelaces by adafruit.
