Title
Proxxon Vise to Drill Press Mounting Plate
Description
I made this jig as part of a job for a friend (who is borrowing my Proxxon vise for his project) to securely mount to his Craftsman drill press. I think that the drill press base is pretty standardized, but I am not sure.
The vise will fit snugly in the mounting plate's groove (I had to heat the edges a little bit and snap it in) and allow you to bolt the vise down to the drill press base.
The tricky part of this, because of the vise itself, is getting the vice bolted to the mounting plate. So, I made two versions. One version is flat and provides clearance, but does not bolt (I ended up drilling holes and threading bolts into it, but I do not think it will be very strong if stressed). The other has holes to bolt the vice to it, but it sits a bit higher.

Edits
02/12/18: I made these nearly a year ago and my buddy says he has made a number of lowers with them and that they are still working well! I am excited that these made things easier for him.
