Here's a recipe for an ultra adhesive build plate coating

The coating provides perfect adhesion for ABS, PLA and PETG. First layer heights of 0.1mm are possible for ABS, PLA and PETG. The printed objects can be removed when the build plate has cooled down to ABOUT25°C:
The coating takes 15 minutes to prepare (with 10 minutes idle time).

Additional requirements:
A bowl
A spoon
One sheet of gelatin (1.5 gramm)
About 50 mm of water (mildly warm, hand friendly - not warm or hot)

Recipe:

  • Take the bowl, put in the water
  • Put the sheet of gelatin inside the water and let it sit there for 10 minutes (it won't dissolve)
  • Squeeze that sheet of gelatin with the spoon here and there, just a little (5 seconds)
  • Now coat the build plate with a small amount of that jelly water, creating a thin film
  • Optionally heat up the build plate (max. 80°C) to dry up faster, or just wait until it's dry
  • Ready to print, print with a heated bed (typ. 65/90/110°C for PLA/PETG/ABS)

What to do with the remaining water:

  • Make jelly now and make jelly again when you need to re-apply, or
  • Store it in the fridge to re-apply again when necessary (use an airtight container). When all water is used up you can dissolve the gelatin in hot (50 - 80°C) water - I'd suggest to use at least 1 liter of water, and then apply this solution to the build plate.
