Description
Remix of the simple and extremely efficient TUSH (The Ultimate Spool Holder) by filamentry (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554). I've added a rail system that should keep it stable and adjustable.
I haven't printed it yet, but I made the rails 250mm long which will fit on a 200X200mm bed diagonally. I'll add shorter rails as well.
I've added two adapters that should glue to the original TUSH to allow them to work with the slide. One is for a single side and the other will cover both sides at once. In the photo above, The white spool holder is a newly printed one from here and the yellow one is an 'upgraded' original TUSH.
Needed for build:
4 Spool Holders
4 608 (skate) bearings
2 Rails
This holder need a downward pull to keep lighter reels from trying to pull off of the holders. Use a low filament guide. I'll probably design a seperate forward rail with an integrated guide.
I will be gluing my rails in place, but screw holes could be easily added.
Edit: Gonna make the rail symmetrical, because, 'Why not?'. Then you don't have to worry about which way you glue it down.
