Description
This is a low-poly ant designed and rendered using BlockyCAD, a layer- and cube- based 3D CAD program I wrote in Python.
The ant does require a decent amount of support to print. I used custom supports in Simplify3D with support under all the legs to help hold them in place during printing.
I've added a version of the ant that is comprised entirely of cubes and lacks the 45-degree angles of the print in the photo. This .stl may analyze as non-manifold, but this is expected due to edges shared between some of the blocks. Simplify3D still slices the part correctly; I haven't tried any other slicers, so your mileage may vary.
