Power supply cover - improved version 2

This is an improved version of my earlier power supply cover using Molex connectors. As most has remained the same, I only dwell on the improvements relative to the initial version:

• An air flow grid on the lower front side allows for better ventilation.
• The Molex connector can now be secured with clips so that they don't have to be glued in.
• A new cut-out is provided for the voltage adjustment trimpot.

Given that we already have the digital voltmeter to show the exact voltage, I though that it would be neat if I could also fine-tune the voltage directly without removing the cover. For this I unsoldered the 1k trimpot from the power supply PCB and replaced it by a 2-pin header. I then mounted the trimpot onto a little peace of prototype PCB and glued it to the new cut-out to the right of the voltage display. However this kind of modding implies opening up the power supply, which voids your warranty and is potentially dangerous - thus, it should only be done by people who know what they are doing and can take responsibility for it!!! For every one else, I recommend to leave the trimpot where it is and to use the provided blind cover to fill the unused cut-out.

UPDATE 2014-08-28: I just uploaded SCAD and STL files which are especially adapted to Tamiya connectors instead of the Molex connectors. Given the form of the Tamiya connectors, they are hold in place with a screw-on small inner frame which holds the connectors in place.

Update 2017-10-24: I just uploaded a 3rd version of this project which has a separate car fuse holder for each of the power outlets, so that each attached device can be protected with a separate blade fuse of the proper value.

Update 2018-12-17: There is now a smaller, more compact version of the 12V/30A power supply on the market, so I have published today a new version of this project adapted to new small form factor device.
