Description
This is an alternative for the Wanhao Di3+ LCD enclosure. The standard enclosure puts the LCD in a 90 degrees angle towards the table and that makes it hard to read. This enclosure will put the LCD in 60 degrees angle which improves readability at the cost of a slightly large space on the table.
Note that the new enclosure allows you to insert a micro SD in the LCD to upgrade the LCD firmware if you want to. You will probably need some pliers to do it though.
The enclosure has no bottom. I have designed one, but ended up not using it. It is not really needed.
Note that this is not easy to print and care should be taken upon the support structures. I have included a S3D factory file as well which handles all the support nicely. If you are using another slicer, make sure that the slicer detects 1 mm overhangs. There will be a large, very small support structure in the middle, this needs some modifications, otherwise it could fall during printing as it gets pretty high as well.
Because this is very visible, I would suggest print it at a high resolution. In the pictures I have just 0.15 mm. Yes, I know, it takes a while to print...
For mounting this enclosure follow these steps. There are several guidelines on the internet for the bigger steps. Google is your friend!
Note that these are quite large, not very detailed steps, but you should manage.
