11XX Motor Guards & Soft Mounts

After breaking countless 1104 motors during crashes, I decided to design these. Over the past year, these have been the saviors of my motors and my bank account! Stop buying motors in bulk and instead let these 11XX Motor Guards take the abuse! They are incredibly strong and have proven highly effective during testing.

Don't own a 3D printer? No problem! Get the PLA versions of these motor guards on eBay.

Note: These motor guards are labeled for motors assuming a 2mm thick bottom plate. If these motor guards don't fit your specific motor because of your plate thickness, try using one size shorter.

Updates:

9/17/2017: Added V2. .5mm thicker bottom, extra strength chamfer, and added a hole in the center to access the C/E clip.

9/17/2017: Added V3 which simply has a chamfer on the inner edge to prevent the guard from getting caught in smaller motor bells in the event that they break.

10/14/17: Added V3 TPU which has an increased wall thickness and smaller diameter screw holes to prevent M2 bolts with small heads from sinking into the guard and causing it to fall off. I really like the TPU motor guards and highly suggest that you give them a try.

10/14/17: Added V1 NinjaFlex TPU 1106 edition motor guards. These are specifically designed to be printed in NinjaFlex TPU and be used for 1106 motors. NinjaFlex is the most flexible TPU currently on the market making it ideal for soft mounting motors. By pairing these NinjaFlex motor guards with soft mounting pads, you get silky smooth soft-mounted flight.

10/14/17: Added 11XX soft mounting pads. These simply get installed under your motor and help ensure that motor vibrations don't get transferred to the rest of your quad. With my limited testing, these give you silky smooth flight. For best results, print in NinjaFlex TPU and pair with TPU motor guards.

10/30/17: Added specialized NinjaFlex TPU motor guards for 1102, 1103, 1104, and 1105 motors. (earlier update included the TPU motor guards for 1106).
