Description
The Airy Arm is an exoskeletal device that was designed to assist individuals with an intact but non-functioning hand. When wearing the device, the user would extend his or her elbow, and the device would in turn extend their fingers via cables. No electronic components are used. For more information, please see the Guide.
This is still the most recent version of the Airy Arm. This device has not been successfully tested for safety or efficacy!! PLEASE USE WITH CAUTION! It is an experimental prototype, which I am sharing so that others may continue developing it.
All files have been uploaded here in STL for direct printing, STEP for imported editing, and SLDPRT for native SolidWorks users. Also included is a Guide that walks through assembly, and a document which outlines my design explorations, such that any individual or group who wishes to further this project might learn from my experiences. If anyone does wish to do so, please share your device under a different name, to avoid confusion in the future.
Thank you for helping to further this project.
