Description
This is a short video summarizing the build of a small arduino controlled night light built from RGB light strips, an ESP8266 based mini D1, a 3D printed base/dome, and a few support components.
While you can duplicate my build/case, I've included the Fusion360 file so that you can modify the case to best fit your specific needs - especially if you decide to create a larger night light with more than (9) LEDs.
The arduino code files I included in the files section create the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) and Raging Fire displays I show in the video. Since the mini-D1 has wifi capability, you could write your own arduino code that allows you to change the night light colors, speed, etc. via a web browser or even with an app that you write yourself. The possibilities are endless!
