Description
This is a rendition of the controller device seen in Dr Who. I took a bit of liberty with the small details so they would print strong enough to withstand handling. This was for a friend of mine who does cosplay, so the interior space is hollow for adding LEDs/battery pack to light it up. I also designed in the cutout ledges and circular hollow to enable small hinges and a magnetic catch to be added to the case to make the prop a working clutch pocketbook. If you've been to a costumed convention, carrying around a big bag all day gets old. The parts have .2mm thick tabs to prevent curling up during printing, since this design relies on table flat pieces. The top was printed in clear ABS and the case and bottom in solid color, so LEDs could shine through the "lid" to match screen shots I had. Fine tune your printer flow, to prevent globbing and spider webs, so the thin decorative flourishes keep their detail.
