Description
This is an enclosure for an Arduino Mega 2560 RAMPS 1.4a stack with an LCD. I wasn't happy with the available enclosures so I made my own. A 40mm fan should be installed on the lid. The fan hood can be installed in any orientation. Use the "Enclosure - Panel - Solid" file if you want to print an end panel without any cutouts (such as if you didn't have an LCD board, or wanted the LCD ribbon cables to route the same direction as the stepper driver cables). There's a key-hole style mounting interface on the bottom of the enclosure - screw spacing should be 75mm. There are a couple of holes in the rib near the cable exit for a zip tie or two.
I used M3x16mm screws for each of the end plates and the fan shroud/fan, and M3x20mm screws to secure the RAMPS stack to the bottom of the enclosure.
EDIT: 9/1/2017 I've added a "vented" version of the main body piece which should allow for more airflow. I haven't printed it yet and make no guarantees.
