Description
Another use I thought of for glow in the dark filament. This is a nightstand decoration that prominently shows a bright yellow sun and the words "Good Morning" when you wake up, and then when you turn the light off at night a moon, star, and the words "Good Night" begin to glow brightly. This is a gift for my niece so I monogrammed the back, but left it blank in the stl for personalization.
Warning: I really enjoyed this project but it is not perfect. Because the letters are the same size as the letter cutouts I printed the letters at 98% full size and then took some time to remove material inside letters and at corners to help them fit the main base.
I used sand paper and a deburring tool to do this, and when I could get one side to slide in I took a rubber mallet and tapped them down so that they all fit very snuggly and did not require any glue (Aside from the sun and moon)
I am working on a file for the letters that will print them so that they naturally fit without post-printing work, I will update when it is complete.
