TUSH - A remix of many!

ANOTHER UPDATE - I now have a remix with sliding rails Sliding rails allow for adjusting to any width spool and TUSH won't pop off rails. Version 2 REMIX In my quest to keep improving my filament spool holders, I started with the basic TUSH, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554. I then had added my raised guides (my remix), which keep the spool over the bearing and not drifting to the edge of the plastic and the bearing. I did find that I had one new spool that had so much filament, that the guides preventing the spool from touching the bearings, so I lowered them. To get more stability, I then took the rails and the notches in the bottom of the bearing holders from the TUSH++ design, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2451368. I modified the rails by extending the ends, so they could accommodate holes for mounting to keep them from moving. When looking at other TUSH remixes, I saw that some designers were reducing filament use in the design, so I added some holes on the bearing holder sides. You could still eliminate more filament by enlarging the openings, but I was trying to be a little artistic ;-) NEW UPDATE - Keep your spools from flying off the TUSH!!! I keep my spools of filament above my printer on a shelf. When a spool gets close to being empty--and very light-- or the filament gets caught under another coil of filament, the extruder on the printer can pull the spool of filament off the TUSH rollers and then it goes flying off the shelf :-( My latest update is the "spool holder arms". Since the TUSH already has holes on the side, I create two arms that can fit easily into the holes on the TUSH. On the other end of the arms are two tubes where the smaller one will fit inside the other tube. They go through the opposite sides of the spool going through the center opening in the spool. Check it out. It may break the filament if something happens to tangle up the filament, but it's better than the spool flying off the shelf. UPDATE - Low profile rail for new spools with filament that goes to the edge. I have started using the low profile guide on the inside under the spool, and the regular guide with the raised edge on the outside of the spool. This give them same control of keeping the spool from jumping sideways off the bearing rails, but allows for spools that have filament to the edge of the spool (see photo).
